CanIEatIt.com is an AI-powered food safety and allergen information tool. Checks are personalized based on user-provided profile data such as allergies, age, pregnancy status, and health conditions.

The service is available in two tiers: Free (5 checks per day) and Premium ($4.99 / month or $39.99 / year), which unlocks unlimited checks and additional family profiles.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Account sharing is not permitted. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • attempt to reverse-engineer the AI system or underlying models;
  • use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to exceed rate limits;
  • submit false profile data to manipulate results;
  • use the service for commercial resale or to provide a competing service.

6. Subscription and Payments

Premium subscriptions are billed via Stripe. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then. Refunds are granted at our discretion within 14 days of purchase, in line with the EU consumer right of withdrawal. Purchases made through an app store are subject to that store's refund policy.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, source code, and AI output generated by CanIEatIt.com is owned by RTechnologies B.V. or its licensors. You may use results for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or resell results commercially without prior written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, RTechnologies B.V. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to health or dietary decisions made based on AI output. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be notified to registered users by email.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Netherlands.
